  • Employer – A verified company or recruiter posting jobs or viewing applications.
  • College – An educational institution registered on Sailors Hub.
  • Platform – The Sailors Hub website, mobile apps, and all related services.
  • Content – Any text, images, resumes, certifications, or posts shared on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To use Sailors Hub:

  • You must be at least 16 years of age (13 with verified parental consent in some regions).
  • You must provide accurate and lawful information.
  • You must not be previously banned or restricted from the Platform.

3. Account Usage

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You may not impersonate others or create multiple fake profiles.
  • You must keep your profile information accurate and up to date.

4. User Conduct

You agree to:

  • Use Sailors Hub for lawful purposes only.
  • Respect the privacy, dignity, and rights of other users.
  • Avoid hate speech, harassment, spam, or any form of abusive behavior.
  • Not upload or post any false, misleading, or defamatory content.

5. Platform Features and Usage

  • Job Applications: You may apply to job postings. Employers may view your profile and resume.
  • CDC Verification: Seafarers must submit valid CDC numbers for verification. These are not shared externally.
  • Networking & Connections: Based on your college, location, industry, and interests, we may suggest relevant connections.

6. Content Rights

  • You retain ownership of content you submit or post.
  • By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it to deliver our services.
  • We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Some features (e.g., business accounts, college dashboards) may require payment.
  • All payments are securely processed. We do not store card details.
  • Subscriptions are non-transferable and subject to our cancellation and refund policy.

8. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
    • Violate these Terms
    • Provide false or misleading information
    • Misuse platform features or engage in harmful behavior

In case of termination, we reserve the right to delete your data unless legal obligations require otherwise.

9. Intellectual Property

    • Employer or college actions or decisions
    • Technical issues, data loss
    • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. While we strive for accuracy and uptime, we do not guarantee that our platform or any content will always be available or error-free.

  • Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
  • By using our Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as outlined.
